ManpowerGroup Manufacturing Process Engineer in Lockport, New York
Our client, a global industrial engineering and manufacturing solutions provider (Fives Group) , is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their team. As a Manufacturing Process Engineer , you will be part of the Engineering / Manufacturing Operations Department , supporting Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Launch Teams .
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking , excellent problem‑solving skills , and effective cross‑functional communication , which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer
Location: 4900 Lockport Rd, Lockport, NY 14094 (Onsite)
Pay Range: $45–48/hr (Non‑Exempt)
What’s the Job?
Develop, optimize, and standardize manufacturing processes to support quality, throughput, and cost targets.
Lead equipment specification, buy‑off, installation, commissioning, and validation activities to GM standards.
Build, maintain, and execute PFMEAs and conduct structured root‑cause failure analysis.
Provide daily production engineering support, resolving mechanical, tooling, process, and quality issues.
Support manufacturing launches, model year changes, and new product/process introductions.
What’s Needed?
Previous GM Process Engineering experience (assembly, machining, stamping, battery, or propulsion).
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering field.
Strong working knowledge of PFMEA, Lean/GMS/Six Sigma, and failure‑analysis tools (5‑Why, Ishikawa, DMAIC).
Hands‑on experience with equipment buy‑off, validation, and commissioning.
Ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate cross‑functionally, and troubleshoot in a fast‑paced environment.
