Good Neighbor Craft House Assistant Chef in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Assistant Chef to support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must hold an active ServSafe certification and have a strong understanding of basic kitchen techniques, food safety standards, and procedures. Restaurant experience is preferred. This role requires a commitment to quality, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Responsibilities include assisting the kitchen team with meal preparation by washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing ingredients; operating the fryer and plating station; and ensuring plates are properly prepared for the expeditor to deliver to customers. Additional duties include maintaining cleanliness by mopping and sweeping the kitchen, washing, drying, and organizing dishes and utensils, and unloading food supplies from delivery trucks.
The ideal candidate must be able to stand for extended periods, safely operate kitchen equipment and appliances, and work effectively in a high-pressure setting. Strong communication and excellent organizational skills are essential, along with a positive attitude and a passion for food and teamwork.
