Department : Surgery Radiology

Location: Livonia Medical Center 40%/Trinity Health Livonia 60%

Position Purpose:

  • Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures.

  • Performs a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated body portions and Produces diagnostically acceptable films for radiologist interpretation.

  • Documents patient history, prepares documentation of all procedures/reports completed and reports this to the radiologist.

  • Maintains courtesy, professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, staff and physicians.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school.

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and BCLS required.

  • Working knowledge of anatomy and principles of physics, electricity and variations of anatomical postures.
