In this position...
Join a dedicated team at the forefront of automotive electrified propulsion system design, development, and integration. This job position includes ownership of eDrive Unit systems engineering for future model designs/vehicles.
Candidates will need to be confident with coordination of cross-functional technical alignment on assumptions and sign-off requirements. This position requires an equal aptitude for both project management, delivery, and technical problem solving.
What you'll do...
Work with internal component D&Rs from both UNSE (Underbody Systems Engineering) and ESE (Electrified Systems Engineering) to lead overall internal systems design
System Design rule assessments
System cooling/lubrication design
GVWR, Vmax, Torque limit assessment. Duty Cycle and durability assessments.
Requirements Cascade to Component engineers. SSDS (Sub-Systems Design Specification) management.
Layout and stack up sign off
Overall Component test alignment
Weight management and optimization
eDrive Unit Warranty Analysis for current model electric vehicles globally
Work with Vehicle program Team to ensure proper execution of external interfaces
Vehicle Package Signoff
Vehicle Attribute Interface
Acoustic Cover Systems lead
As installed Systems lead

You'll have...
Minimum Requirements:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree
4+ years of experience in managing/delivering powertrain programs through launch
Proactive, self-starter that can handle multiple assignments at a time
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, self-motivated to deliver results with minimal direction
Desire to lead cross-functional working teams
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent writing, speaking, interpersonal skills and presentation
MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) experience i.e. Magic Draw
CAD experience
Even better, if you have …
Preferred
M.S. in engineering or similar degree
Knowledge of systems engineering principles and prior experience authoring requirements
Basic understanding of electrified powertrain system function and attributes at the subsystem and vehicle levels desired but not require
Strong GPDS (Global Product Development System) knowledge

This position is a salary grade 6 - 8 and ranges from $72,480 - 162,120.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
