About the Role
As the MM you will handle multiple internal andexternal functions of material handling operations and maintenance of afulfillment center site. You will also serve as the Reliability and MaintenanceEngineering leader and partner directly with the client’s General Manager andsenior operations staff to deliver best-in-class maintenance.
What You’ll Do
Maintain a safety-first culture in which CBRE employees return home in the same condition in which they reported to work.
Provide subject matter expertise to employees involved in the maintenance of miles of high-speed conveyance and robotic product movement systems.
Provide formal supervision to individual employees within a single functional or operational area.
Provide coaching and mentoring to all employees on the proper execution of CBRE’s preventive maintenance strategies, including completing PM and PDM tasks daily, while documenting all corrective work required to maintain a sophisticated conveyance system.
Direct the local team to meet targets associated with daily maintenance related metrics.
Responsible for the execution of the maintenance-related budget for the fulfillment center.
Approve subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for all employees to next level management for review and approval.
Plan and monitor appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime.
Prepare and deliver performance appraisal for staff.
Participate in corporate-sponsored programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessments, etc.
Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and the Operations Maintenance team members.
What You’ll Need
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in a technical field (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) required.
Minimum of 5+ years demonstrated ability to lead and coach employee performance in a manufacturing environment. Must include experience in supervising hourly and salary employees.
2+ years working directly with the maintenance and upkeep of material handling equipment.
2+ years in packaging automation, distribution processes, and mechanical systems involving power transmission through gearboxes and belts.
Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving and analytical skills.
Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles, as well as financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting
Proficient Microsoft Office Suite experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
Expert level analytical and quantitative skills with experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and/or schematics.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used to perform maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment.
Understanding of predictive maintenance technologies such as thermography, vibration analysis, and air borne ultra-sound.
Must have an understanding of repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
Ability to travel off-site as needed.
Physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
