Job Title: Cleanroom Technician

Job Description

The Cleanroom Technician supports precision manufacturing operations by inspecting, handling, staging, and packaging parts in a controlled cleanroom and production environment. This role focuses on maintaining part cleanliness and integrity throughout the assembly and welding process while following strict quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough incoming inspections of parts to verify quality, specifications, and compliance with applicable standards.

  • Carefully unbox and unbag parts, ensuring all components are handled without damage and remain free from contaminants.

  • Arrange, fit, and assemble components in preparation for welding, following established procedures and work instructions.

  • Install and secure filler ribbons as required to support the welding process.

  • Handle and stage parts for welding, maintaining their cleanliness, integrity, and proper identification at all times.

  • Ensure the cleanliness of all parts during handling and assembly, adhering to cleanroom and contamination-control practices.

  • Properly package parts after assembly and welding to protect them during transport and storage.

  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

  • Collaborate closely with team members to achieve production targets and meet deadlines.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of tasks performed, inspections completed, and parts handled.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to use basic hand tools safely and effectively.

  • Capability to perform heavy lifting as required in a manufacturing setting.

  • Experience working in or around a cleanroom or controlled environment.

  • Strong attention to detail for inspecting, handling, and assembling precision parts.

  • Ability to follow written procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

  • Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and support production goals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with cleanroom maintenance practices and contamination-control procedures.

  • Understanding of quality systems and standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001:2008, and NADCAP.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with production deadlines.

  • Organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing machine shop and cleanroom setting that can be loud and may involve exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations. You will work within a facility focused on designing, engineering, and manufacturing critical fluid delivery subsystems for advanced technology applications. The position requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001:2008, and NADCAP. The environment is fast-paced and production-oriented, with a strong emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and precision in handling and assembling parts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livermore, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.84/hr.
