Pilgrims Process Safety Manager in Live Oak, Florida
Job Description:
Process Safety Manager is responsible for working with staff on all sites to promote Safe Processes, Projects, Products and People through use of OSHA safe work practices, maintaining safety as a condition.
Duties and Responsibility:
- Conducting PSM / RMP Compliance Audits, writing reports, and following recommendations for each facility within the region at least every three years.
- Leading and documenting a Process Hazards Analysis, writing reports, and following recommendations for each Ammonia refrigerationor chlorine gas injection system within the region at least every 5 years.
- Leading the PSM teams at each site within the region to follow up and help resolve all PSM / RMP recommendations and other related issues.
- Participating at sites within the region that are undergoing OSHA PSM,DHS, orEPA RMP audits.
- Participating / Leading all Incident Investigationsusing Root Cause Analysis forreported Ammonia,orChlorine leaks for all sites within region.
- Helping sites within the region to continually improve their PSM / RMP programs.
- Keeping up on all new refrigeration codes and standards.
- Working with sites to maintain the APSM compliance implementation schedule.
- Training PSM coordinators and technicians incompliance tools and standard operating procedures.
- Participating as knowledgeable engineer for Process Hazards Analyses and other auditsfor other sites outside of region.
- Tracking and updating all Process Safety Information any time there is a change to the systems.
- Helping sites with ammonia refrigeration projectsthrough the scope development and Management of Change processesas required.
- Frequent travel to sites within the region and periodic travel to sites outside the region.
- Other related duties as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in Ammonia Refrigeration preferred.
- Use of Auto CAD is a plus.
- English/Spanish bilinguala plus.
- Basic knowledge of the operations of Ammonia Refrigeration / Thermodynamic systems.
- Ability to complete engineering calculations for ammoniainventory, relief valve design,load and energy balances, ventilation requirements and releases.
- Experience with Six Sigma, total predictive maintenance (TPM), OperationalExcellence (OE), or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience using APSM or similar PSM compliance software.
- Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrument and Block Flow diagrams.
- PHA Leader training and experience a plus.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals professionally.
- Ability to present information and to communicate issues to upper management.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
- Proven project management and change management skills.
- Ability to apply and interpret regulatory standards and consensus standards to situations not specifically addressed by the standards.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to crises in an effective and timely manner.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.

- Base Salaryrange of $92,917 - $112,894.20, +/- based on experience
