Description About the Role

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Data Entry Specialist to support our Finance & Accounting operations. This role begins with data-entry–heavy work and day-to-day support for the CFO, with clear growth potential. Our accountant is retiring in 24 months, and the right person can develop into that position through on-the-job learning and increasing responsibility.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Data Entry & EDI

Enter, format, and validate data across our EDI system and internal spreadsheets.

Consolidate information from multiple sources with a high degree of accuracy.

Excel-Driven Reporting

Maintain logs, trackers, and reconciliation schedules in Excel (sorting, filtering, lookups, basic formulas).

Prepare and update standardized templates for contracts, invoices, and payments.

QuickBooks (QB) Transactions

Process customer invoices, payments, bills, credits, and credit memos in QuickBooks.

Assist with cash application and basic A/R and A/P entries.

Contract & Commission Support

Download and format contracts for distribution to factories.

Yu-Kom/commission research: Gather data and calculate commissions due from multiple sources.

Invoicing & Payment Logging

Manage TAG invoice processing and ensure timely, accurate invoicing.

Log payments in Excel and reconcile to QB and supporting documentation.

General Accounting Support

Support the CFO with ad hoc tasks, research, and follow-through—own what’s on your desk and drive it to completion.

Identify gaps, ask smart questions, and propose simple process improvements as you learn.

What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)

Required

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (sorting/filtering, basic formulas like SUM, AVERAGE, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH).

Experience with an accounting system; QuickBooks experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.

Ability to think through problems independently, organize information from multiple sources, and complete tasks with minimal handholding.

Foundational accounting knowledge (debits/credits, A/R, A/P, invoicing).

Experience with EDI workflows.

Curiosity and a research mindset—comfortable tracking down answers and validating data.
