Job Title: QA/QC Specialist

About the Role

The QualityAssurance/Quality Control Specialist is responsible for managing and performingthe daily QC responsibilities of specific CBRE Direct Line (DL) projects toensure the project is constructed in accordance with the established standards.The QA/QC role includes direct oversight and review of the entire project documentationand physical inspection phase of the workflow process, working with otherin-house personnel (e.g.: Project Managers, Superintendents, Lead Techs etc.)and external personnel to produce and document a quality product.

  • Implement theQA/QC management system at site to include but not limited to Cable TrayRouting, Conduit Installs, Cable Management, Rack and Cabinet Placement, Port Accuracy,Copper and Fiber Test Validation and Asbuilts

  • Coordinatewith quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors

  • Coordinatewith the customer’s representative on all quality matters

  • Coordinateall receipt inspections

  • Distributerelevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors if applicable

  • Verify thatthe quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codesand standards

  • Participatein the site internal and external site audits

  • Coordinateall the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors

  • Ensure allquality control documentation is compiled and competed for closeout handover

  • Control allnonconformance reports and undertake remedial action

  • Compete sitequality control instructions and action remedial responses

  • Review thecustomer’s specifications and undertake relevant training if needed

  • Monitor theimplementation of the approved site QC Plan

  • Complete andcoordinate the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the customer

  • Coordinatewith the site project manager on all quality issues

  • Coordinateand chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the projects subcontractor’s QCpersonnel

  • Elaboratinginspection and test programs

  • Assure alltechnical documents relative to site quality control are current

Education:

  • Associate’sdegree in Construction Management, Project Management or 5 years equalexperience

  • BICSI Certifications(Technician, RTPM, or DCDC)

  • BISCI RCDDpreferred

Experience:

  • 5 plus years’field experience in working in Commercial Construction

  • 5 plus years’field experience in working with Data Center Structure Cabling (Copper andFiber)

  • 3 to 5 years’experience installing and testing Copper and Fiber

  • 1–2 years’experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud

  • 1-2 years’experience with Bluebeam Revu or CAD

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The standard work environment for this position is an indoor/outdoorData Center and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or handtools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise levelin the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularlyrequired to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push,pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily. Theemployee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularlylift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25pounds. The employee must regularlycarry and climb ladders to 20 feet. The employee may berequired to work in tight, confided spaces. Theemployee must demonstrate regularand on-time attendance. The physical demands described here are representativeof those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions ofthis job.
