International Project Sourcing Manager – Body Components in Lisle, Illinois
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Project Sourcing Manager – Body Components to join our Procurement Organization.
The Project Sourcing Manager-Body Components will work cross functionally within International interfacing with engineering, program management, quality, manufacturing, risk management, finance, aftersales, and supply chain.
As Project Sourcing Manager-Body Components you will be responsible for sourcing all new programs according to the category sourcing strategy, driving cost reductions, supply base management and negotiating agreements.
The key activities include leading strategic sourcing activities, supplier contract negotiations, executing commercial agreements, identifying cost reduction opportunities, and overall supplier performance management.
Responsibilities
Accountable for sourcing all new programs (sending out RFP's /RFI's) and interface with Engineering and Supplier Quality
Based upon CMT recommendations, send RFP packages out to potential suppliers
Follow up with suppliers, negotiate costs to achieve best overall total cost of ownership, when data received pull together TCO and share comparison in CMT's
Engaged with Scania/MAN for alignment on common Traton Group business strategy for T2 components
Support VA/VE efforts to generate cost reductions
Enabler to successfully implement Dual Sourcing while also developing new sources to support body components
Through new program sourcing, develop and execute category strategies to align with International’s business objectives and Traton Group business strategy for improved cost, quality, or delivery opportunities
Research industry trends, global markets, benchmark data, and understand underlying cost drivers
Execute legal agreements such as Comprehensive Supply Agreements and Development Agreements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
OR
- Master's degree and at least 1 year of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
OR
- At least 5 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
Procurement background in the automotive or commercial vehicle industries or manufacturing preferred
Experience developing category strategies, discovering competitive options and leading negotiations
Excellent time management skills – can organize and prioritize multiple projects and meet specific deadlines

Salary Minimum: USD $82,400.00/Yr.
Salary Maximum: USD $123,600.00/Yr.
