Role Mission
Worldpanel by Numerator is looking for a Senior Big Data Developer to join an experience development team in delivering a key global big data platform responsible for producing big datasets for multiple clients. This platform is using brand new technologies, mainly using Databricks and the latest Databricks functionalities like Delta Lake, Unity Catalog. This person will be actively engaged in the implementation and also lead what will be the future of the platform.

Key Responsibilities:
Be responsible for the delivery of tested, high quality code
Adhere to coding standards and implementation of Kantar Technology standards
Build suitable automation test suites within Azure DevOps
Maintain and update automation test suites as required
Carry out manual testing, load testing, exploratory testing as required
Work closely with Bas and Senior Data Developers to consistently achieve sprint goals
Assist in estimation of sprint-by-sprint stories and tasks
Pro-actively take a responsible approach to product delivery
Key Capabilities
Your background will ideally look like this…
Academic background (Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD Degree) in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or equivalent fields
Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience similar roles
Good knowledge of programming languages, such as Python
Proven track record in Microsoft Azure Cloud
Knowledge/experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, Databricks
Experience working with Devops pipeline, preferably Azure DevOps
Experience in Agile methodologies (Srum/Kanban)
Fluent in English
