Overview
This role will serve as scientific lead for our isothermal calorimetry product portfolio, driving advanced applications development, strategic product direction, and highimpact customer collaborations. This role combines deep domain expertise with leadership in method innovation, competitive analysis, and voiceofcustomer initiatives to influence nextgeneration instrument and software design. The ideal candidate is a recognized expert in calorimetry who can guide internal teams, mentor junior scientists, and elevate our technology's scientific and commercial impact.
Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to
Serve as the principal scientific advisor for RandD, contributing to feature definition, prototype evaluation, and longterm product roadmap decisions.
Lead the scientific strategy for microcalorimetry, including developing new applications, workflows, and analysis capabilities.
Produce highquality technical content (application notes, white papers, competitive benchmarking reports) demonstrating scientific leadership.
Drive highvalue customer engagements-including evaluations, collaborations, and KOL partnerships-to capture deep insights and shape solution development.
Own complex troubleshooting and advanced technical support for global teams, acting as the escalation point for calorimetryrelated inquiries.
Represent the microcalorimetry product line at conferences, workshops, webinars, and customer site visits.
The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following
PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biophysics, or a related discipline
Deep, handson expertise with microcalorimetry including isothermal calorimeters, DSC, and ITC and a broad understanding of its application domains and technical limitations.
Demonstrated scientific leadership in calorimetry applications, method development, and complex experimental design
Proven track record of collaborating directly with RandD, engineering, or product teams to influence product features and system capabilities.
Experience partnering with customers, KOLs, or external collaborators to define requirements, validate workflows, or generate impactful data.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex topics clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
