SHRUB CARE CO LLC Part Time - Irrigation Service Technician in LINDON, Utah
Hiring an Irrigation Service Technician to join our landscape maintenance team.
This is a part-time position with consistent full-day shifts. Team members are expected to work at least two full days per week (Monday-Friday). Hours may vary by season, with reduced availability during winter months.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, working outdoors, and learning how irrigation systems function and support healthy landscapes.
What You'll Do:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair irrigation systems
Learn the components of residential sprinkler systems and how they function
Troubleshoot common issues such as leaks, pressure problems, coverage gaps, and controller issues
Repair or replace heads, valves, fittings, drip lines, and related components
Adjust systems for proper coverage and water efficiency
Perform seasonal services such as system start-ups, inspections, and winterizations
Keep job sites clean and professional
Communicate clearly with customers when needed
Team Work:
We work in small crews (typically 2-3 people). Each team member may have a specialty. When working in your focus area, you'll help guide the task and support your teammates to complete the work efficiently. All team members also assist with general landscape work such as mowing, pruning, weeding, seasonal cleanup, and seasonal snow removal.
Driving & Equipment:
Drive a company pickup (with trailer) to job sites
Use irrigation tools and basic diagnostic equipment safely
Help maintain vehicles and equipment
Training is available for towing and advanced system troubleshooting if needed.
Schedule:
Part-time position
At least 2 full workdays per week required
Full-day shifts (typically 8 hours)
Monday-Friday availability
Hours vary by season
Pay & Growth:
Starting pay: $15.25-$17.00 per hour
Raises based on reliability, performance, and training progress
Paid on-the-job training

Requirements:
Valid driver's license
Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and communication
Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Communicate clearly with team members and customers
Preferred (not required):
Irrigation, plumbing, or landscaping experience
Mechanical or troubleshooting experience
Experience driving a pickup with a trailer
Work Environment:
Outdoor work in changing weather conditions
Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion
Some tasks (such as digging or system repairs) may be physically demanding
