Job Description
CMC Rebar is seeking an experienced Crane Operator to safely and efficiently handle rebar materials at an active steel fabrication yard. This role is responsible for operating cranes to move and position rebar bundles, including material up to 60 feet in length with varying sizes. The ideal candidate has strong crane operation experience in a steel, rebar, or heavy industrial environment and prioritizes safety and precision.
Responsibilities:
Operate overhead or mobile cranes to lift, move, and position rebar materials
Safely handle rebar bundles up to 60 feet long with varying sizes and weights
Inspect loads and rigging for safety prior to lifts
Communicate clearly with ground crews and supervisors
Follow all site safety procedures and OSHA regulations
Support yard and production operations as needed

Skills and Requirements
Prior experience operating cranes in an industrial or construction setting
Experience handling steel or rebar materials
Strong understanding of safety procedures and load limits
Ability to work in outdoor, industrial environments NCCCO or other crane operator certification
Experience in rebar fabrication or steel manufacturing facilities
