Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Lincoln, Rhode Island
Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Lincoln, Rhode Island. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in managing financial transactions and maintaining vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Process and accurately enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.
• Manage the accounts payable inbox, ensuring timely responses and resolution of inquiries.
• Conduct outstanding check reviews and ensure proper reconciliation.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to address payment issues and inquiries.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including reviewing and coding invoices.
• Perform account coding for various transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
• Handle check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments to ensure timely disbursements.
• Maintain organized records of all accounts payable activities and documentation. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Intacct Sage or similar third-party systems.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with ACH payments and check processing.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and organization.
