A busy company in the Lincoln Park area is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join their growing company. This Senior Credit Analyst will get to join a team that offers career advancement and a flexible working schedule. This Senior Credit Analyst role is essential in managing credit risk while ensuring cash flow optimization through effective credit and collection strategies. The ideal Senior Credit Analyst candidate will have strong financial statement analysis and a proactive approach to monitoring financial data and customer accounts. Other responsibilities of this Senior Credit Analyst will include but not be limited to:

Senior Credit Analyst Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of high-profile accounts by monitoring and controlling credit exposures effectively.

• Analyze credit data and financial statements of customers to assess creditworthiness and determine credit limits.

• Negotiate and secure appropriate credit instruments such as guarantees, letters of credit, and collateral to reduce financial risk.

• Collaborate with internal teams, including Commercial, Contracts Administration, and Legal, to ensure accuracy in transactional documents and contracts.

• Identify opportunities to improve cash flow and address delinquent accounts promptly through regular portfolio reviews.

• Resolve disputes by working closely with counterparties and internal departments like Customer Care, Billing, and Cash Application.

• Evaluate changes in customer creditworthiness and financial standing to align credit capacity with potential sales volumes.

• Prepare periodic reports to support daily credit evaluations and provide insights for management planning.

• Forecast credit exposures based on anticipated product movements and ensure compliance with credit requirements.

• Continuously improve credit processes by proposing enhancements to risk mitigation, internal controls, and cash flow strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.

• At least 5 years of experience in commercial credit, preferably in the petroleum industry.

• Strong skills in financial statement analysis with exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a results-driven attitude and high integrity.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other applications like Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
