ManpowerGroup Automation Controls Technician in Lincoln, New Hampshire

Our client, a leader in electrical and utility solutions, is seeking an Automation Controls Technician to join their team. As an Automation Controls Technician, you will be part of the Manufacturing Support Department supporting the engineering and production teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Automation Controls Technician

Location: Lincoln, NH

Shift: 1st Shift: 7 am-3:30 pm, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

  • Assist in assembling, wiring, and plumbing custom automation equipment based on engineering designs

  • Test run and troubleshoot automation systems including high-tech components such as robots, lasers, and pick-and-place mechanisms

  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to interpret models, drawings, and specifications for project execution

  • Manage project organization, including material intake, layout planning, and assembly methods

  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances to ensure quality and precision in assembly

What's Needed?

  • Five or more years of experience in a mechanic, manufacturing, or machinist environment, or equivalent training

  • Hands-on skills in repairing equipment, machining, fabrication, and troubleshooting

  • Experience with setting up and operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and welding equipment

  • Willingness to attend training to expand knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and PLC/robotic programming

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to interpret technical drawings and models
