Unit:
Position is a hybrid, mostly remote. Some training requirements and all are required to maintain their BLS via RQI (requires onsite participation) once per quarter. Also onsite as deemed necessary with notice from leadership. But vast majority is remote.
**Candidates must reside in the DFW area.
Department is open M-F 0700-1830.
RNs on our team work four 10 hour shifts or five 8 hour shifts. This is decided upon between leaders and the individual once the complete their initial onboarding/training (8-12 weeks). The first 8-12 weeks' schedule varies based on their preceptors' schedules, with consideration for the individual's scheduling needs.
**Shift times will vary based on what the individual decides on (four 10s vs five 8s), but shift will likely end at 1830 for this candidate.
There is an opportunity to take 'on call', but this is not required.
Minimum 5 years nursing preferred with 2 years cardiovascular nursing required.
Must be comfortable with technology and telecommunication (team uses call center software to make and receive calls).
Strong communication skills a must.

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse on Unit is a key player in patient care management, following our nursing practice model. They work with other health care staff to deliver patient care effectively. Our Registered Nurses use the nursing process efficiently. They diagnose patient responses to health issues and create care plans accordingly. It includes evaluating healthcare needs and responses.
Essential Functions of the Role
Prioritize needs. Create, implement, and assess care plan to achieve outcomes. Adapt plan as necessary.
Observe indicators closely, support evidence-based changes with research and hands-on learning.
Create a caring, safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
Build relationships with boundaries in mind. Focus on managing emotional and physical pain to promote healing and reduce suffering.
Facilitate learning for all members of the healthcare team, including patients, families, and nursing staff, ensuring everyone is well-informed.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and the community to develop and execute an integrated plan of care.
Use problem-solving strategies and utilize available resources to support patients, family and staff as part of a systems thinking approach.
Key Success Factors
Familiarity with nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
Awareness of legal requirements and standards of certification and accreditation bodies, including the specifics of the hospital and respective department/unit.
Good command of medical terminology, with a focus on healthcare promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention.
Effective communication skills, along with social aptitude for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
Possessing critical thinking and problem-solving skills is crucial.
Capability to identify and report changes in patient conditions, develop, and modify patient care plans as required.
Basic computer skills necessary for day-to-day assignments.

Qualifications
Completion of an accredited course or have at least 2 years of experience surpassing the minimal qualification required.
Field of Study: The applicable major should be nursing.
A minimum of 2 years in a relevant role is expected.
Certification: Hold a BLS certificate now or obtain within 30 days of starting in this role.
