Aerotek General Laborer in Lincoln, Nebraska

*General Laborer - $20/Hour - Start ASAP*

This role supports the production of precast concrete products for large construction projects by performing physically demanding general labor tasks in a fast-paced, industrial environment. You will work as part of a production team to help build concrete columns, panels, and other structural components, using hand tools, power tools, and equipment while following safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the production of precast concrete products such as columns, panel beds, beams, bridge girders, double tees, hollowcore, precast wall panels, and other building materials.

  • Perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day, including frequent bending, leaning, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

  • Pull, place, and tie rebar according to specifications to reinforce concrete products.

  • Set and adjust forms for concrete pours to ensure accurate dimensions and alignment.

  • Support concrete finishing activities such as smoothing, edging, and preparing surfaces as directed.

  • Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and simple machinery safely and efficiently as part of the fabrication process.

  • Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping duties in the production area to maintain a safe and organized worksite.

  • Work closely with a crew of 8–12 team members, following direction from the crew lead and production leadership.

  • Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment, and participate in safety meetings and training.

  • Adapt to changing tasks and priorities based on project requirements and production schedules.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to consistently lift up to 70 pounds throughout the workday.

  • Ability to stand and perform physical labor for up to 10 hours per day.

  • At least 6 months of experience working in a hot, heavy, or physically demanding work environment.

  • Comfort working in an industrial, non-climate-controlled facility with varying temperatures.

  • Willingness to perform repetitive physical tasks such as bending, leaning, and lifting.

  • Ability to safely use basic hand tools and power tools.

  • Reliable attendance and ability to work early morning start times and extended hours as needed.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

  • 1 year of work experience in construction is preferred.

  • 1 year of experience in concrete work, either residential or commercial (such as driveways, parking lots, or sidewalks), is preferred.

  • At least 6 months of experience tying rebar is preferred.

  • At least 6 months of experience setting concrete forms is preferred.

  • At least 6 months of concrete finishing experience is preferred.

  • Experience in precast concrete production is a plus.

  • Familiarity with building materials, rebar, and fabrication processes is beneficial.

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and operating basic machinery is an advantage.

  • Any previous experience in landscaping, general labor, or related trades is helpful.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
