In this role, you will operate and maintain the Urschel slicer to produce consistent potato\ slices for the kettles. Youll adjust machine settings, monitor performance, and make sure\ each batch meets quality and food safety standards. This position requires strong attention to\ detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work well with others in a fast paced\ environment.
Operate Urschel slicer to produce uniform potato slices for kettle cooking
Adjust slicing blades and settings based on potato variety, moisture content, and batch\ requirements
Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure optimal slicing quality and food\ safety
Record batch data including slice thickness, yield, and machine settings into ERP system
Tag and label sliced batches for traceability and inventory tracking
Collaborate with trim and pare, frying, and packaging teams to maintain production flow
Collaborate with lab to ensure quality control
Inspect sliced potatoes for defects, irregularities, and consistency
Follow GMP, HACCP, and sanitation protocols during operation and cleanup
Report quality concerns or equipment malfunctions to supervisors immediately
Assist in training new operators on Urschel equipment and safety procedures
Ensure all tasks are performed safely according to safety protocols
Perform other duties as necessary or requested
