The Potato Inspection Technician is responsible for trimming and preparing raw potatoes,\ inspecting product quality, and supporting the flow of materials through the production line. This\ position requires strong attention to detail, reliable work habits, and a commitment to\ maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Trim and pare raw potatoes to remove defects, blemishes, and irregularities\ Inspect potatoes for quality and sort according to production standards\ Maintain a steady flow of prepared potatoes to slicing and frying stations
Record batch data including quantity, source, and prep time into ERP system\ Communicate with receiving and kitchen teams to ensure accurate data flow\ Follow food safety protocols including GMP, HACCP, and allergen control\ Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of prep area and tools\ Report any quality concerns or foreign material findings to supervisors\ Work closely with kitchen and slicing teams to align prep output with production needs\ Assist in training new team members on trimming techniques and safety procedures\ Support continuous improvement initiatives in prep efficiency and waste reduction\ Ensure all tasks are performed safely according to safety protocols\ Perform other duties as necessary or requested
