Superior Forge and Steel Melt Helper in Lima, Ohio
Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Pitman/Ladleman for our operation. The Pitman/Ladleman is a member of our Melt Department responsible for the setup and maintenance of melting equipment and assists in melting operations. Competitive wages starting at $22.20 . with .50 pr hr increases every 6 months until the established top rate of pay is achieved. Additional Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS (Paid in increments throughout the first year of continued employment), and this position is eligible for Production Incentive Program.
Duties/Responsibilities:
·[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Assists in preheat, melting, tapping, de-gas, and pouring operation
·[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Participates in melt furnace reline
·[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Assists with ingot strips
·[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Cleans and inspects plates, molds, pouring pits, and ladles
·[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Sets up plates, molds, and stools
·[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Inspects argon plugs, top plate, and gate
·[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Performs other department duties, as assigned
