Continental Disc Corporation CMM Programmer and Operator in Liberty, Missouri

The CMM Programmer & Operator is responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure products meet engineering and quality standards. This role supports quality assurance activities by performing dimensional inspections, analyzing measurement data, and collaborating with engineering and production teams.
Requirements
Program and operate CMM equipment to inspect parts, assemblies, and tooling
Zeiss Calypso Programming
Develop CMM inspection programs from engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T symbols
Analyze inspection results and generate detailed inspection reports
Communicate inspection findings to Quality, Engineering, and Production teams
Maintain calibration and routine maintenance of CMM equipment
Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and program issues
Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, or customer-specific quality standards
Support continuous improvement initiatives in measurement processes
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Technical degree preferred)
2+ years experience programming and operating CMMs
Proficiency with CMM software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, MCOSMOS, CMM Manager)
Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges)
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing environments
Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality systems
Experience with offline programming and CAD-based inspection
Familiarity with SPC and statistical analysis
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility
Ability to lift up to XX lbs (customize as needed)
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/inspection lab environment
Exposure to machining equipment and precision measuring instruments
