Description
Robert Half is currently looking for an Accountant (External Reporting) to join a collaborative and customer-focused Finance team! This role is critical to ensuring accurate, transparent, and timely external financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, proactive with innovative tools, and comfortable working cross-functionally.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K, and other external reports
Support the preparation of earnings releases, proxy statements, sustainability reporting, and census filings
Maintain accurate and well-organized supporting workpapers
Contribute to cash flow statement preparation with strong analytical attention
Gather, analyze, and summarize financial data to support management decision-making
Serve as system administrator for external reporting tools and platforms
Act as a liaison with external auditors and internal partners to support audits, SOX testing, and control walkthroughs
Support annual goodwill impairment analysis and quarterly/annual pension accounting processes
Coordinate quarterly certification processes and related documentation
Research and apply technical accounting guidance and SEC regulations
Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, and valuation-related activities
Build strong working relationships across departments through proactive communication
BENEFITS OFFERED:
SALARY RANGE: $75,000-$115,000

Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA required
3+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience
Strong analytical, technical, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
High level of integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive information
Experience gathering and analyzing financial data to support business decisions
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
Public accounting and/or SEC reporting experience is HIGHLY desired
Experience with Workiva and XBRL tagging
Familiarity with Oracle or similar ERP systems and reporting tools
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
