MIT Lincoln Laboratory Senior Applications Developer in Lexington, Massachusetts
Position Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Developer to join our team supporting a dynamic portfolio of intranet applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with Oracle technologies (RDBMS and APEX platform) for custom application development. The successful candidate also must demonstrate adapting across an evolving technical stack to meet business needs and knowledge sharing in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
+ + Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient web applications and services using APEX
Develop and maintain SQL databases, including schema design and architecting data flows
Manage business warehouse ETL and coordinate integrations with diverse set of downstream applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop functionality according to customer requirements
Assist operations team with APEX platform maintenance on WebLogic 14c servers
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
Evaluate new tools, architectures, and approaches for a secure enterprise
Balance operational support with opportunities for innovation
Minimum Qualifications
+ + Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with at least 5+ years of experience maintaining enterprise applications
Proficiency with Oracle RDBMS RDBMS 19c or higher - SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle SQL Developer, SQL*Loader
Proficiency with *nix shell scripting and RESTful API development, Oracle REST Data Service preferred
Experience with APEX 23.1+
Experience with data warehouse ETL, analytics, and reporting
Working knowledge of web development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, SOAP, XML
database schema design, business system requirements and analysis
Experience working within an Agile development framework using the Atlassian toolset (i.e. JIRA, Confluence)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience creating data ETL pipelines and automating CI/CD deployments
Relevant Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus
Exposure to API integration technologies like Boomi or MuleSoft
Experience integrating with SAP data sources, especially finance
Knowledge of testing frameworks and familiarity with debugging tools
Experience working under compliance constraints
Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and administration – e.g. performance tuning, security best practices
THIS POSITION CAN BE REMOTE BUT THE CANDIDATE MUST BE WITHIN 100 MILES OF THE LAB AND COME IN AS NEEDED.
