SummaryJob Description:Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Lexington, KYFull Time 3rd Shift (Nights)Responsible to perform daily Respiratory Care procedures as assigned, which include but are not limited to medication administration via aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, percussion and postural drainage, noninvasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, CPR, bedside pulmonary function screening, and arterial blood gases. Able to perform in all emergency situations and provide intubationDescription:- Medication administration via aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, percussion and postural drainage, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, CPR, bedside pulmonary function screening, and arterial blood gases- Able to perform in all emergency situations and provide intubation, if applicable- Manages ventilators for neonatal/pediatrics and adults according to protocol pertinent for each age group (Mechanical and non-invasive ventilation)- Performs, assesses, and instructs the effective administration of oxygen, aerosol medications, humidification, suctioning, and chest physiotherapy- Patient/family education will also include the safe and effective use of equipment where applicable- Performs effective airway management, supportive ventilation, and chest compressions during CPR- Obtains, processes and reports results of arterial blood gases without direct supervision- Utilizes EPIC to acknowledge/resolve all completed and cancelled orders- Assists in the maintenance of all Respiratory Care equipment by troubleshooting when necessary and communicating equipment needs to supervisor- Evaluates, monitors, analyzes, and makes recommendations in Quality Improvement activities- Responds to all respiratory care pages in a timely manner- Assists with education programs that will help the staff improve their knowledge, attitude, and skills in relation to the needs of the services offered.Requirements:- Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).- Highschool/GED- Technical Diploma- Must be licensed by the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Kentucky and in accordance with the provisions of KRS chapter 314A.- Must maintain an active BLS.
