Known for Excellence-be part of this dynamic and growing team.The Radiology Tech Float, though based with a "home" department, can be called at any time to travel to another practice location to provide coverage which covers Lexington as well as cities surrounding. The Radiology Tech assists the staff and physician by collection of pertinent patient information needed to determine physical and psychological needs, address and identify health problems, performs selected treatments, diagnostic procedures, chest x-rays, various extremity x-rays and routine duties.- Perform EKG's, venipunctures, pulmonary function testing, and other lab procedures and treatments with accuracy.- Accurately obtain vital signs and record patient data in an accurate, legal and appropriate manner.- Performs all radiographic exams and is responsible for all film quality- Maintains radiation safety per departmental policy- Keeps all x-ray equipment and supplies clean, maintained and stocked.- Application of splints, braces and wound dressings in correct manner.- Assist physician with exams/procedures.- Room/equipment/instrument set-up, cleaning, practice good infection control, order supplies and restock as necessary.- Prepares maintenance requests as needed.- Respect/promote patient rights, maintain confidentiality, and exhibit friendly/helpful behaviors.- Respond to emergencies in appropriate manner and according to policy.- Follow all OSHA and departmental policies; perform quality control, record data as necessary.- All departmental/staff/operational problems reported to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.- Clerical duties may include scheduling, answering phone, filing, copying, completing forms/referrals/precerts, obtaining demographic information, updating charts, assuring fee tickets reflect services perform.Work ExperienceEducationIf you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!Baptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer."EEO Statement: Baptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, and seeks to employ individuals without regard to r ace, color, national origin, gender, s exual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, marital status, citizenship status, military status, religious or political beliefs, protected veteran status, employment status or any other protected class identified in any federal, state, or local law.
