The Opportunity
The Fleet Operations Intern will support the Fleet Sales Operations team by helping coordinate fleet account onboarding, maintaining CRM data accuracy, assisting with fleet service reporting, and supporting sales representatives with operational requests. This role will work closely with fleet sales representatives to ensure fleet customers are onboard efficiently, data is maintained accurately in CRM systems, and operational tasks are completed to support fleet growth. This internship provides hands-on exposure to sales operations, fleet account management, CRM systems, and operational process improvement within a national fleet service organization.
This role is a located in Lexington, KY.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Fleet Account Onboarding Support
Assist with onboarding new fleet customers into internal systems.
Help verify and enter fleet account information, driver IDs, and billing details.
Track onboarding progress and follow up on missing information.
Coordinate documentation needed for fleet account activation.
CRM & Pipeline Management
Assist with maintaining accurate customer data in CRM (Zoho).
Update opportunity stages and notes for fleet sales representatives.
Identify incomplete or outdated CRM records and assist with cleanup.
Help monitor pipeline activity to ensure opportunities are progressing.
Fleet Reporting & Data Tracking
Assist with compiling monthly fleet performance reports.
Track key fleet metrics including:
Oil changes, Account growth, ticket averages
Help prepare summary reports for sales and leadership teams
Sales Rep Operational Support
Support fleet sales reps with operational requests related to:
Account setup
Account verification
Fleet account questions
Assist with organizing fleet account documentation.
Process Improvement & Documentation
Assist in documenting standard processes for fleet account setup and service support.
Identify repetitive manual tasks and help recommend process improvements.
Support initiatives to improve operational efficiency across the fleet team.
Key Projects for the Internship
During the internship, the Fleet Operations Intern will work on projects such as:
CRM Data Cleanup Initiative: Review and update existing fleet accounts to ensure accurate contact and account information.
Fleet Onboarding: Build Fleet accounts in POS and maintain data accuracy new fleet account setup progress.
Fleet Performance Dashboard Support
Assist in compiling monthly fleet program metrics and performance summaries.
Process Documentation
Help document key operational workflows for fleet account support.
Qualifications : Education
Currently pursuing a degree in:
Business Administration
Sales
Operations Management
Data Analytics
Automotive or related field
Qualifications : Skills
Strong attention to detail
Organized and process-oriented
Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Qualifications : Technical Skills
Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
CRM systems (experience with Zoho a plus)
Basic data analysis skills
