Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a Contract to permanent opportunity, offering a chance to work with large clients and manage high-volume invoicing processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounts payable procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Process and code invoices accurately while ensuring timely payment to vendors.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage returns and track associated documentation to ensure proper credit is received.
• Enter accounts payable data into the system with precision and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with vendors to address payment inquiries and discrepancies effectively.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for data tracking, reporting, and reconciliation tasks.
• Handle a high volume of invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Support the transition of responsibilities from the current team member, ensuring a seamless workflow.
• Maintain organized records of transactions and documentation for auditing purposes. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
• Strong skills in account reconciliation and data entry.
• Experience with coding invoices and processing payments.
• Ability to manage high volumes of invoices while maintaining accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams.
