Position Description
Infinite Electronics Inc., a global manufacturer of engineered connectivity solutions and services, is seeking to fill an Field Applications Engineering Lead position. This position drives profitable organic growth within the Industrial BU, by working closely with our customers to build upon custom and application specific solutions in line with the Business Unit strategy. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of the products and their markets, applications, customers, suppliers, and competitors, developed by spending a significant amount of time outside Infinite Electronics. The FAE Lead will be responsible for a team of FAE’s with the application and custom product focus to drive key relationships with Infinites customers.
Infinite Electronics’ companies include Pasternack, Fairview Microwave, L-Com, MilesTek, Aiconics, Polyphaser, Transtector, Integra Optic, Bulgin, Show Me Cables, NavePoint and the companies of the ICC business unit.

A successful FAE Lead (Field Applications Engineering Lead) is not just a senior technical resource — they are a revenue enabler, technical strategist, and team multiplier.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Report to the Vice President of Product & Portfolio Management and is responsible growing the application and custom product sales
Lead customer-facing technical engagements including design reviews, application validation, and solution architecture.
Act as the senior technical escalation for complex applications and custom designs.
Lead, coach, and develop the Field Application Engineering team.
Partner with Sales to support design-in, key accounts, and strategic opportunities.
Translate Voice of Customer into actionable inputs for Product Management and Engineering.
Support technical proposals, bids, and competitive positioning.
Develop technical training, application notes, and enablement material.
Lead technical strategy on high-value opportunities
Drive early-stage customer engagement (specification phase)
Own design win tracking and conversion metrics
Prioritize FAE resources toward highest LTV opportunities
Identify recurring application pain points
Provide feedback into roadmap development
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, with specialization in electromechanical design.
10+ years of working experience in Field Application Engineering, Applications Engineering, or Technical Sales Support.
3+ years experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
Strong technical expertise and in-depth understanding of the industry landscape, dynamics, value chain, pricing structures, technology, and trends.
Strong customer-facing and design-in experience.
Demonstrated history of commercial success with application design-in.
Willing to travel 50% or more of his / her time.
MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) ability.
Preferred Requirements
Master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
Relations with key players (customers, third parties, distribution, trade associations…) in the market.
Application specialist in growth markets with customer relationships.

Must have strong negotiation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop key relationships, both internal and external.
