RC Contracting of MT General Laborer in Lewistown, Montana
General Laborer in roofing, siding, and general construction that requires physical strength, stamina, and the ability to work outdoors in varying, sometimes extreme, weather conditions. Work days are weather dependent, with flexible scheduling. Overtime and weekend work are frequently required to meet project deadlines. Wage is minimum of $25/hour, depending on experience. Duties and Responsibilities: Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris, trash, and hazardous materials. Set up and take down scaffolding, ladders, and safety barricades. Load, unload, and transport building materials (shingles, siding panels, plywood) and tools from trucks to the work area. Remove old roofing materials, assist with hoisting shingles, apply roofing felt, and clean gutters. Assist with the installation of vinyl, wood, or metal siding; cut materials to size, and secure scaffolding. Operate power tools and hand tools (saws, drills, grinders, nail guns). Maintain equipment, tools, and machinery in good working order. Clean up sites at the end of the work day. Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for long periods. Knowledge and ability of using and maintaining safety harnesses and anchor points. Ability to frequently lift and carry heavy materials (50 - 100 pounds). Comfortable working at heights on ladders and/or rooftops. Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and humidity. Must have own basic hand tools (hammers, tool belt, razor knife, tape measure, speed square). Must have a current working smart phone for timesheet and payroll purposes. Required Qualifications: Previous experience in roofing, siding, or other major applicable construction fields. Previous experience in operation of hand and power tools. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols with the ability to correctly use safety harnesses and anchor points.
