Work Schedule: Days with Call Weekend and Holiday Rotation
Hours: Varied start time between 7a-10a. Varied end times 3p-6p. On call, weekend and holiday rotation required. Will rotate to offsite locations.
Summary:
The practice of nuclear medicine technology encompasses multi-disciplinary skill, which use rapidly evolving instrumentation, radiopharmaceuticals and techniques. The responsibilities of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist include an empathetic and instructional approach to patient care; the preparation, calibration and administration of radiopharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals; the performance of quality control procedures; and the operation of imaging, laboratory and computer instrumentation. Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation as appropriate to the ages of the patients served, based on the area of clinical practice.

EDUCATION
Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training required
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Accredited Nuclear Medicine program required
Radiologic Technology Licensure by the State of New York Department of Health in Nuclear Medicine required or in the absence of a qualified internal candidate, applicants may be selected who have a temporary permit by NYS in Nuclear Medicine
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) in Nuclear Medicine Technology within 6 months of hire
EXPERIENCE
Previous clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine required
Three (3) years in Nuclear Medicine preferred
