Position Summary
The Maintenance Lead is a working lead who directs the maintenance team in the execution of repairs and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure continuous and efficient plant operations. Successful candidates will be able to troubleshoot complex production and plant equipment, assist in the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities, and oversee the administration of maintenance records.
Key Responsibilities
The Maintenance Lead will be responsible for:
• Team Leadership and Oversight:
o Acting as the maintenance team's on-site lead, providing guidance, instruction, and support to Maintenance Technicians.
o Prioritizing daily work assignments and directing the maintenance crew to facilitate necessary maintenance and repairs on equipment and buildings.
o Reviewing daily machine reports and meeting with the Maintenance Manager to report all completed and pending issues.
o Mentoring and training Maintenance Technicians on best practices and safety procedures.
• Planning and Administration:
o Working closely with the Maintenance Manager to assist with the scheduling of repairs and/or replacement of parts to maximize production efficiencies and/or the reduction of waste.
o Maintaining, organizing, and administering detailed maintenance and machine records using computerized maintenance management systems.
o Managing the inventory of machine installation parts, ensuring adequate stock levels for planned and emergency repairs.
o Assisting in making necessary changes and setups as needed to ensure customer deliveries.
o Performing other miscellaneous administrative and technical duties as assigned by management.
• Technical Expertise:
o Ensuring the machines are running at company and OEM standards.
o Troubleshooting and repairing complex issues involving pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and plant fabrication.
o Demonstrating required knowledge of physical plant maintenance, welding, and general shop abilities.
Job Qualifications and Competencies
o Seniority Level: Mid-Level / Lead
o Employment Type: Full-Time o Education: High school education or equivalent work experience is needed.
o Experience: A minimum of five years of work experience in a maintenance capacity, with proven experience in a leadership or senior role. Required Technical Knowledge
o Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, fabricating, and general shop abilities.
o Required knowledge of machine installation parts, fabrication, physical plant maintenance and welding is a must.
o Basic machining is a plus. Competencies
