Job Description
Join our team at 400 North Townhomes, where we prioritize quality service and community satisfaction. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of our property. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that our facilities remain in excellent condition for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and carpentry repairs. Ensure all maintenance requests are addressed promptly and efficiently.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems. Implement preventive maintenance measures to ensure the longevity and safety of equipment and facilities.
Emergency Repairs: Respond swiftly to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies, such as water leaks, power outages, or HVAC failures, to minimize disruption and maintain a safe environment for residents.
Grounds Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the exterior appearance of the property, including landscaping, snow removal, and debris removal, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain various tools and equipment necessary for completing maintenance tasks effectively and efficiently.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, completed tasks, and parts or materials used, to ensure transparency and accountability.
Collaboration: Work closely with property management and other team members to prioritize tasks, report issues, and develop solutions that enhance the quality of our facilities.
Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with residents and team members, addressing concerns and providing information as needed to ensure a positive community experience.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in general maintenance and repair, preferably in a residential setting.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work on-call for emergencies and occasional weekends or evenings.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environmental conditions.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational training or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a maintenance or repair role is highly desirable.
Working Conditions:
This position involves working both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to various environmental conditions. The candidate must be comfortable performing physically demanding tasks and handling tools and equipment safely.
