The Miraval On-Call Event Houseperson supports banquet and event operations by assisting with the setup, breakdown, and maintenance of function spaces. This position is scheduled on an as‑needed basis to support meetings, weddings, conferences, and special events, ensuring all spaces (indoor and outdoor) are prepared according to event specifications and maintained to high cleanliness and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Set up and break down banquet spaces, including tables, chairs, staging, linens, podiums, and other event equipment

· Perform room conversions quickly and efficiently between different event styles

· Assist during events by replenishing water stations, removing trash, and responding to operational needs

· Transport, load, and unload furniture and equipment safely

· Maintain cleanliness of function rooms, hallways, storage areas, restrooms, as well as outdoor event spaces

· Properly store equipment and supplies after events

· Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques

· Support banquet servers, supervisors, and event managers as directed

Qualifications:

· Ability to lift and carry up and down stairs, up to 50–75 pounds and remain on feet for extended periods

· Ability to follow diagrams, written and verbal instructions

· Strong teamwork and communication skills

· Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling

· Willingness to work either early mornings and/or late evenings
