Essential Job Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Transports residents to their destination whenever transportation is needed. - Makes miscellaneous runs for the office - banking, printer, post office, corporate office etc., whenever needed. - Maintains cleanliness of all vehicles on a daily basis; washes vehicles whenever necessary. - Performs routine preventive maintenance on all vehicles. Reports any problems to Supervisor of Maintenance. - Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition. - Exercises extreme care in driving and in assisting residents on and off vehicles. - Is courteous, in uniform and well-groomed at all times. - Accomplishes additional duties as required and directed by Supervisor. - Assists grounds staff with snow and ice removal whenever necessary. - Operates wheelchair lifts properly and ensures safe transport of wheelchair bound residents, residents with electric carts and residents with walkers. - Maintains daily maintenance log. Qualifications: - One year experience at similar facility preferred. - Must possess a valid Massachusetts CDL Class II with a passenger endorsement license. - CPR & First Aid annually - Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak English.
