GoodLife Innovations is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide care and companionship to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities!
As a Direct Support Professional, you will support positive behaviors, teach communication skills, and maintain health and hygiene for the individuals we serve. Your day will be spent in family-style group homes, Day Service centers, and out in the community to assist with client goals and personal care needs.
What We\'re Looking For:
- At least 18 years of age
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must have a valid driver\'s license and safe driving record (day positions only)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs to physically assist individuals
- Flexibility in assigned working location based on client needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous caregiving or direct support experience, ideally in a residential or therapeutic setting
- Experience working with clients with aggressive or disruptive behaviors
- Training in crisis intervention or de-escalation techniques
Shifts & Schedules Available:
- Front-Half (Sun-Wed)
- Midweek (Wed/Thu/Fri)
- Back-Half (Wed-Sat)
- Days: 7am-7pm or 8am-8pm
What You\'ll Do:
- Assist or fully support with personal care needs (bathing, toileting, grooming)
- Teach and support daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, laundry)
- Transport clients in company van
- Administer medications
- Support clients at their Day Service programs
- Chart/document data using computer system
