Job Title: Cabinet Maker
Job Description
As a Cabinet Finisher, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing drywall surfaces to meet high standards of smoothness and durability. You will work closely with other trades and team members on active job sites, which are not climate controlled, making adaptability and a strong work ethic essential.
Responsibilities
Prepare and finish drywall surfaces to meet high standards of smoothness and durability.
Work closely with other trades and team members on active job sites.
Master taping, mudding, sanding, and feathering seams to create smooth surfaces ready for paint or texture.
Measure, cut, and install drywall panels with precision.
Apply various textures (knockdown, orange peel, etc.) to meet project specifications.
Repair damaged drywall and apply skim coats or plaster for seamless finishes.
Install metal or vinyl corner beads and apply compound for clean edges.
Essential Skills
Mastery of taping, mudding, sanding, and feathering seams.
Ability to measure, cut, and install drywall panels with precision.
Skilled in applying various textures like knockdown and orange peel.
Experience in repairing damaged drywall and applying skim coats or plaster.
Installing metal or vinyl corner beads and applying compound for clean edges.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of experience in commercial drywall.
Experience with hand tools and power tools.
Knowledge in carpentry, concrete, and framing.

Work Environment
You will work on small to mid-sized commercial projects with teams ranging from 3 to 10 employees. The self-perform team currently consists of 27 employees and is expected to ramp up in 2025. Job sites are not climate controlled, and the schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with contractors likely working 42-43 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
