Job Title: Electronic Assembler
Job Description
As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling electronic components, subassemblies, and systems using hand tools, light assembly equipment, and lead-free solder stations. You are expected to follow production work instructions and shop orders to complete product assembly with the highest quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate appropriate equipment, tools, and fixtures for product assembly.
Solder wires and components to printed circuit boards.
Assemble and solder wiring harnesses.
Hand assemble plastic and metal heat sinks and case parts.
Conduct functional testing of work in progress and completed units.
Package finished goods in boxes and clamshells.
Collaborate with the production supervisor to ensure product quality by identifying and resolving assembly issues and highlighting continuous improvement opportunities.
Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
Read and apply documented quality system procedures.
Essential Skills
Experience in electronic assembly and small part assembly.
Proficiency in soldering, including soldering wires and components to circuit boards.
Knowledge of surface-mount technology and operation of SMT machines.
Ability to read blueprints and use hand and power tools.
Strong hand dexterity.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Basic mechanical and/or electrical knowledge.
Experience in assembly, wiring, and soldering is strongly preferred.
Ability to work independently while following work orders.

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility where all positions are primarily seated. The team size ranges from 15-20 people. The shift is from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
