Honeywell General Manager – Building Automation Europe - Security & Access Solutions (SAS) in Leicester, United Kingdom
The General Manager, Building Automation Europe – Security & Access Solutions (SAS) is accountable for end-to-end ownership of the European SAS business, including growth, profitability, cash, customer outcomes, and operational excellence, in alignment with Building Automation (BA) and Enterprise strategies.
This role has full responsibility for regional P&L, strategy deployment through STRAP and AOP, and execution of a disciplined Management Operating System (MOS). The GM is expected to translate strategy into results by driving commercial execution, operational rigor, portfolio competitiveness, and talent development across a complex, multi-country, matrixed organisation. Additionally, the GM should actively foster and contribute to a One BA Europe culture by promoting alignment, collaboration, and shared accountability across business units to drive unified execution and stronger enterprise outcomes
The role reports to the BA President, Europe, and partners closely with Global BA, Offering Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Enterprise functions to accelerate growth, strengthen differentiation, and improve speed-to-market.
Business Ownership & Financial Performance
• Own the regional P&L for the European SAS business, delivering top-line growth, EBITDA, margin expansion, and cash flow in line with AOP and STRAP commitments
• Lead regional strategy development and deployment, ensuring clear priorities, investment trade-offs, and executional accountability
• Drive capital allocation and productivity initiatives that support sustainable, profitable growth
• Ensure strong forecast accuracy, operating rigor, and financial governance, including working capital management
STRAP, AOP & Management Operating System (MOS)
• Lead development and execution of STRAP and AOP, ensuring alignment between growth strategy, portfolio priorities, and resource deployment
• Establish and run a robust MOS across sales, operations, services, finance, and functional teams
• Drive consistent operating cadence, performance reviews, and corrective actions across the region
• Embed continuous improvement disciplines to strengthen execution, predictability, and results delivery
Commercial Growth, Offering & NPI Leadership
• Drive commercial excellence across Europe, strengthening go-to-market execution, channel performance, and key account penetration
• Partner with Offering Management and Engineering to define regional portfolio strategy, product lifecycle management, and differentiation priorities
• Own the regional NPI strategy and execution, ensuring:
• Clear alignment between customer needs, market requirements, and global product roadmaps
• Strong regional input into business cases, prioritisation, and investment decisions
• Effective NPI governance, launch readiness, and speed-to-market
• Successful commercialisation through sales enablement, pricing, channel readiness, and post-launch performance tracking
• Accelerate growth in software, services, and recurring revenue, aligned with BA digital and lifecycle strategies
• Ensure Voice of Customer (VOC) is systematically captured and translated into offering, roadmap, and NPI decisions
Operations, Quality & Delivery
• Align operations, sourcing, supply chain, and services to a single, integrated regional execution model
• Drive on-time delivery, product quality, and service performance that meet or exceed customer expectations
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce complexity, improve productivity, and strengthen operational resilience
• Ensure compliance with EHS, regulatory, cybersecurity, and quality standards
Leadership, Talent & Culture
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing leadership team, with strong succession planning and talent pipelines
• Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and collaboration, aligned to Honeywell ACT WITH behaviors
• Lead organisational change associated with growth, integration, and portfolio evolution
• Act as a visible, credible leader with employees, customers, partners, and enterprise stakeholder
Governance, Risk & Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with Honeywell policies, ethics, and governance requirements
• Maintain strong business controls, forecast quality, and risk management
• Protect and enhance Honeywell’s reputation through disciplined, ethical leadership
Experience
• Leadership experience in general management or business leadership, or P&L-owning roles
• Proven track record of profitable growth delivery in complex, multi-country European businesses
• Demonstrated ability to lead commercial, operational, and functional teams within a matrixed, global organisation
• Strong experience working with Offering Management, Engineering, and NPI processes
• Industry experience in building automation, security, access control, controls, software, or adjacent technologies strongly preferred
Financial & Operational Acumen
• Strong command of P&L management, balance sheets, cash flow, and working capital mechanics
• Experience deploying and operating Financial MOS and Sales MOS
• Track record of driving margin expansion, productivity improvement, and cost discipline
Leadership Capability
• Executive presence with the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders, customers, and global stakeholders
• Strong people leadership with demonstrated talent development and succession planning
• Ability to lead transformation, manage ambiguity, and deliver results through others
Education
• Bachelor’s degree required
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
