About the Role
We are seeking a highly creative, digitally savvy intern to help share Utah’s story—from its exceptional quality of life to its thriving innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the Commissioner of Economic Development and the Nucleus Institute to amplify the people, ideas, and policies shaping Utah’s future.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
● Attend events across Utah (startups, universities, policy, innovation)
● Capture high-quality content: photos, videos, interviews, and real-time social media
● Create engaging, shareable content that builds momentum and audience growth
● Help develop and execute a cohesive brand voice and storytelling strategy
● Grow and engage an influence-driven audience across platforms
● Research and write compelling stories highlighting Utah’s innovation ecosystem
● Spotlight entrepreneurs, researchers, companies, and policy initiatives
● Help expand the reach of Utah’s story locally, nationally, and globally
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications
High School Diploma, or equivalency.
Currently enrolled in a Utah institution of higher education.
Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to analyze complex information and present it clearly and concisely.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with research databases and tools.
