Job Title: ServiceNow Developer Senior
Location: Leesburg, Virginia
Type: Contract
Compensation: $70-80/HR W-2
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow applications, modules, scripts, workflows, and integrations.
Configure and customize ServiceNow including UI policies, business rules, client scripts, flows, catalog items, and update sets.
Support the expansion of ServiceNow across additional business functions (e.g., ITSM, HRSD, Asset Management).
Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST, SOAP, MID Servers, and other technologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments (Dev/Test/Prod).
Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and SMEs to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure platform stability, performance, and adherence to best practices, development standards, and security requirements.
Participate in code reviews, release management, and ongoing platform upgrades.
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow architecture and core modules (ITSM required; HRSD, ITAM, or ITOM preferred).
Proficiency with JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow scripting.
Experience with update set management, data imports, CMDB, and ACLs.
Familiarity with integrations (REST/SOAP), MID Servers, and authentication methods (OAuth, SAML, etc.).
Strong problem-solving abilities and experience supporting cross-functional teams.
