Robert Half Property Contract Accountant in Lee's Summit, Missouri
Description We are looking for a skilled Property Contract Accountant to join our team in Lee's Summit, Missouri. This is a contract position where you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various property management accounting activities. Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and post general ledger entries to ensure proper financial reporting.
• Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Utilize Yardi software to manage property-related financial data and generate reports.
• Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets, including advanced formulas and VBA scripts, to streamline accounting processes.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting documentation for audits.
• Monitor and track journal entries to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with property managers to address financial discrepancies and provide solutions.
• Conduct regular reviews of financial data to identify and correct errors.
• Support the team with additional accounting tasks as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Proficiency in general ledger management and journal entries.
• Strong ability to perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Hands-on experience with Yardi property management software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and VBA.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
