We’re seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Technician with 5 years plus experience to maintain, fault find and repair CNC machines in a regulated medical device production environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on CNC repair experience, strong mechanical and electrical fault finding skills, and follows GMP / ISO quality practices.
Your responsibilities:
You’ll play a key role in maintaining equipment that helps produce life‑changing medical devices. Your responsibilities include:
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
Perform preventive maintenance , calibration , and repairs on CNC machines, cleaning systems, and sterilisation equipment.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and CNC‑control issues.
Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Technical & Operational Support
Update and maintain maintenance logs, calibration records, and spare‑parts inventory in line with GMP/ISO standards.
Support machine setups , program loading , and post‑processor adjustments together with production teams.
Assist in commissioning new machinery and support IQ/OQ/PQ qualification activities.
Continuous Improvement & Safety
Drive process improvements to enhance machine uptime and production yield.
Follow strict safety procedures, including lockout/tagout .
Provide on‑call support when required (role dependent).
Qualifications and requirements:
We’re looking for someone who brings both depth and versatility to the role:
Experience & Knowledge
5+ years of hands‑on CNC maintenance and repair experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical insight—experience with bearings, spindles, ball screws, linear guides, gearboxes , and more.
Solid electrical and controls expertise— servo drives, PLCs, wiring, sensors , and basic ladder logic.
Experience with CNC control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, or similar).
Technical Skills
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings , schematics , and electrical diagrams .
Comfortable using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and alignment tools.
Personal Attributes
A proactive mindset and a passion for solving technical challenges.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly with production, programming, and engineering teams.
