Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join a rapidly expanding environmental company. The role involves operating various types of heavy machinery and working in diverse weather conditions. Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks, including working aloft, climbing ladders, and operating in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy machinery such as Excavators, Bulldozers, Loaders, Skid-Steers, and Backhoes.

  • Work aloft and climb ladders, staging/scaffolding, and other aerial equipment.

  • Perform tasks above head level and in tight quarters.

  • Interpret and work from construction plans and drawings.

  • Engage in general labor and environmental labor tasks.

Essential Skills

  • 5-10 years of construction experience.

  • Ability to operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, skid-steers, and backhoes..

  • Possession of a valid MA hoisting license with 1C/2A designation for Massachusetts jobs.

  • OSHA 10 Hour certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing GPS machine control is a plus.

  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER training is preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to travel within New England is a plus.

Work Environment

Work involves diverse projects such as environmental remediation, demolition, excavation, dredging, utility work, and landfill cap and closures. Be prepared for long hours on your feet, working in various conditions including snow, rain, cold, and heat.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lee, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
