Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Lebanon, PA

Employment Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire

Salary: $75,000-$95,000 DOE

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will own key general accounting and financial planning responsibilities for a multi-site manufacturing organization. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving operational and financial improvements across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain general ledger activities, including preparing and posting journal entries and generating financial reports used for account analysis.

  • Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including inventory, fixed assets, and accruals.

  • Monitor and analyze job costs, departmental spending, and overhead allocations; collaborate with department leaders to support cost control and improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in—and at times lead—annual physical inventory and cycle count programs.

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for the Synchro ERP system and Sage general ledger, including user training and process improvement initiatives.

  • Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting activities.

  • Develop, maintain, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) with accuracy and timeliness.

  • Assist with treasury-related activities, including cash management functions.

  • Support accounts receivable processes, including customer collections as needed.

  • Provide documentation and support for annual audits and regulatory filings.

  • Complete additional accounting and finance-related tasks as required.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of general ledger accounting experience.

  • Strong background in accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

  • Preferred experience includes inventory accounting, fixed assets, cost accounting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, tax and regulatory filings, financial reporting, internal controls, and ERP/accounting systems.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of GAAP and internal control standards to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

  • Experience with accounting or enterprise business systems required.
