Dartmouth Health Program Coordinator - Environmental Services Onboarding & Training in Lebanon, New Hampshire

Overview

Provides onboarding, orientation and continuing education programs and process coordination for Environmental Services and Waste Management initiatives including needs assessment, material development, communications, education (new hire and ongoing staff), data analysis, compliance adherence, tracking and reporting

Responsibilities

  • Develops, updates, and has overall responsibility for new hire orientation programs and ongoing staff training and education required for day-to-day success in multiple languages. Utilizes best practice educational materials that are clear and understandable for all EVS staff.

  • Possesses high emotional intelligence. The ability to read the room, adjust communications to the situation and shift thought process as needed.

  • Responsible for the management of course and content development, training delivery processes for new hires and current staff with new training or refreshes required, the management of resources to deliver the content and ongoing performance management to ensure training is efficient and effective for all staff in multiple languages as needed on 1st, 2nd and 3rd

  • Efficient use of translation, language line technology. Continually looking at new technology to improve communications with non-English speaking staff.

  • Assesses work quality through standard inspections (annually or more with leadership team as needed) and patient/staff collaboration to ensure performance meets expectations. Identifies any improvement areas that need to be addressed. Acts as a central resource to organize and maintain department training materials and education documents.

  • Ensures the department properly meets the needs and represents the mission and vision of Dartmouth Health. Works collaboratively with all department leadership to ensure training programs and processes are aligned and relevant to critical business priorities.

  • Maintains EVS Database for required infection prevention tracking, quality assurance software platforms and updates as needed. Works with Vendors, EVS staff, Patient Placement and Infection Prevention to share any relative data. Provides required reports and support training presentations to leadership that incorporates Quality and Assurance scores (i.e. ATP/Blacklight and HCAHPS scores). Show trends and areas for improvement.

  • Develops compliance documentation to include required trainings, department standard processes, policies and procedures. Ensures that updated documentation is distributed and reviewed with applicable staff. Collaborates with other departments that support the development of department specific learning objectives to ensure compliance.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2 years Healthcare Environmental Services experience required

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent

  • Must be able to flex schedule as needed to accommodate training and education for 1st, 2nd and 3rd

  • Experience with education and precepting within this field preferred.

  • Highly-proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office (excel, word, PPT, etc.) and other relevant software.

  • Possess Critical skills that are important to this role include critical and analytical thinking, managing multiple tasks while staying collective and communicative with influence and delivery along with ensuring high-quality care for the work we do.

  • Speaks multi-language preferred.

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • American Hospital Association CHEST Trainer certification or other equivalent education required within 6 months of hire.

  • Pay Range:$52,395.20/Yr. - $81,224.00/Yr. (Based on 40 hours per week, otherwise pro rata)

  • FTE/Hours per pay period:1.00 - 1.00 - 40 hrs/week
