Penmac Staffing is hiring a detail-orientedPurchasing Clerkfor an office-based role supporting a fast-paced purchasing department. This position plays a key role in ensuring materials, supplies, and services are ordered accurately, tracked effectively, and delivered on time. The ideal Purchasing Clerk is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working with vendors and internal teams. Pay will depend on experience.

• Full-time, Monday-Friday
• 7:00 AM-4:00 PMor8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• One-hour unpaid lunch

Responsibilities:

• Process purchase orders and ensure proper documentation is completed
• Place weekly orders based on MRP requirements
• Key, email, track, and follow up on all purchase orders
• Confirm and expedite past-due orders and allocation shortages
• Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, delivery dates, and resolve discrepancies
• Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance
• Maintain purchasing records, reports, price lists, and quote systems
• Review invoices and packing slips for accuracy and resolve issues
• Work with accounts payable to support timely payment processing
• Obtain return authorizations for defective or obsolete materials
• Coordinate with internal departments on purchasing needs and schedules
• Follow company purchasing policies, safety rules, and housekeeping standards
• Perform additional administrative duties within the purchasing department as needed

Requirements:

• Strong people skills and professional communication abilities
• Computer literate with proficiency in 10-key data entry
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with inventory control, scheduling, and vendor relations preferred
• Boat manufacturing experience and MRP system knowledge strongly preferred
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow as part of the G3 team
• Ability to observe safety rules and use PPE when working in plant areas
