Applications are now being accepted for a Temporary Part Time Registered Nurse to work in the Emergency Department. The successful applicant’s commitment to this position is 37.50 hours per week and be available to work the following shifts: Monday-Sunday 0700-1900, 1000-2200 and 1900-0700. Please note, this is a temporary position scheduled to end on or before March 17, 2027.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Adhere to policies and procedures established for the assigned department while supporting the Mission, Vision and Values of Erie Shores Healthcare
• Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information
• Assist with comfort measures and patient safety by ensuring the environment is clean and tidy and free of hazards
• Participate as a team member
• Assisting to mobilize patients under the guidance of a nursing/physiotherapy professional
• Aiding in Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s)
• Perform any other relevant duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• Human Kinetics student in year two or higher of study required
• Certificate in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
• Demonstrate infection prevention and control practices
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving, decision making and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrate excellent organizational and time-management skills

The successful applicant will have a commitment of 37.5 hours per pay period to this position and will be required to work days Monday-Sunday including holidays. Please note, this is a temporary position scheduled to end upon graduation.
