Position Summary:
Perform cleaning and janitorial tasks. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Gather and empty trash.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals.
Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Maintain equipment and facilities properly and safely in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal laws.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Past work record reflects dependability and integrity.
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling
Experience in grocery retail and customer service.
Willing and available to work weekends and holidays.
Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills that engage our customers and associates.
Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials and bulletins.
Ability to multitask, set priorities, present information in a professional manner and work with all levels of the organization.
Personal initiative and follow through to completion.
Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment.
